• Program Improvement Committee


          All members of the program, students, staff and community members are valuable contributors to the ongoing development of program philosophy, goals, curricular design, instructional approach, support services and management.  By operating as an integrated learning community with its interdependent parts, the Hempstead School District has been able to maintain a viable program that enables all participants to identify and meet individual and collective goals.  To ensure high quality work and learning for both students and staff, a Program improvement Committee consisting of representatives from the community, program supervisory staff, program teachers, program support services staff and students will convene quarterly to analyze program data in order to make planning decisions and recommendations that are immediate and responsive to program needs and goals.  This continuous program improvement process is not only valuable for programmatic change and improvement, but helps to sustain and support the larger Hempstead community.
