Athletics at Hempstead
Welcome to Hempstead Athletics, home of the TIGERS. We are a district with a rich history of athletic success. Hempstead’s Athletic Department is dedicated to support each student-athlete in reaching their full potential. Our student-athletes will learn to work well with others, to assume leadership roles, and to prepare to be an active member of society. It is our mission to provide our student-athletes with opportunities to grow academically, socially, mentally, and athletically. Hempstead’s Athletics Program offers our students a fun, inclusive and competitive experience where they can build personal skills of respect, teamwork, cooperation, healthy competition, accountability, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
We want to encourage all Hempstead students to participate in some phase of our athletic programs. And we ask all student-athletes to commit to representing Hempstead with integrity and pride.
