Welcome To Curriculum & Instruction

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction seeks to support all members within each learning community of the Hempstead Public School District. Curriculum tools provided, for each content area, will support engagement, cultural relevance, and current New York State Standards-based options for increased rigor and differentiation needed for the various learners served.  Instructional practices promoted include inquiry-based plans that yield technological innovation, fostered creativity, empowerment of students, and challenges where students will generate solutions for local and global concerns.
