WELCOME TO 4TH GRADE WITH MRS. PISCITELLI!
Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Mrs. Piscitelli, and I will be your 4th grade teacher for the 2021-2022 school year! This year will consist of a lot of fun and exciting activites, but will also require a lot of focus and self-motivation!
As we try our best to transition back into a normal school year, it is essential that everything is easily available to the students at all times. It is essential that we build a strong line of communication between myself and your family. This is essential in order to ensure that your child gets every they need in order to reach their full potential and have a successful year! If you would kindly email me at email@example.com with your updated phone number and email address it would be greatly appreciated.
The 4th grade standards and very rigorous and my expecations for the students will be high. I expect each student to take ownership of their learning and be able to not only complete the tasks presented to them, but also know to reach our for help when needed. Our classroom is a team and we are all working together to meet a common goal; SUCCESS!
Each week you will have assignments available to you through our schoology platform which can be accessed through the Hempstead School District website, as well as the link on my classroom homepage. It is essential that you check our class homepage, schoology, and ClassDojo for important updates, reminders, and information daily. Students will use a series of application during the year such as; schoology, ClassDojo, Clever (iReady & Khan Academy), and ReadyGen. All applications can be located through our class schoology page or the links provided on my classroom homepage.
I am requesting that your child bring their laptop and charger back and forth to school so I can ensure that all students know how to access the applications and platforms we will be using this year as well as to get into a routine of using and navagating their devices. This way, I will be able to help students with any issues they may be having. If you child does not have a device avilable to them, please contact me immediately with your child's name at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The first day of school for students is Thursday, September 9, 2021.
If you have any questions, concerns, or information you would like to share with me, please feel free to contact me using the links provided on the homepage (email, ClassDojo, or phone). I look forward to a fun and exciting year!
