Hi, my name is Michael Malatesta and I will be your 8th grade science teacher.  I teach regents Living Environment at A.B.G.S. Middle School.  I have been teaching in Hempstead for the last 3 years.  I was also an assistant coach for the ABGS Tigers football team.  Prior to teaching in Hempstead, I taught in Brooklyn, Queens and East Boston high school. 

As a teacher, I find it important to develop a strong rapport with all of my students and earn each others respect.  I am very dedicated to helping my students both in and out of the classroom.  To me, part of being a teacher extends outside the classroom and outside your content area.  It is important to me that I try my hardest to help my students excede both in the classroom and in their lives.
