Hello! 

My name is Ms. Lisette Acosta and this is my fourth year teaching and inspiring young lives at Barack Obama Elementary School in Hempstead, N.Y.! For the 2021-2022 school year, I am teaching 2nd grade. In previous years, I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade students. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Old Westbury College in Old Westbury, N.Y. I received my Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Touro College in Bay Shore, N.Y. I am a very passionate and organized teacher that is constantly learning new methods to teach my students so that they are engaged and consistently inquiring in both the classroom and the world around them.
