Barack Obama Elementary School, named after the 44th President of the United States, is a surburban, urban school were learners are encouraged to be thinkers, risk-takers, inquirers, and principled individuals. As an IB PYP Candidate School, we pride ourselves in serving our students. We presently have approximately 86% Hispanic learners and 14% Africian American learners.
We provide a supportive environment cultivated by every staff member. This allows our students to focus and develop a love for learning as they explore, inquire and pose questions to deepen their understanding. Additionally, students learn to think critically and consider what traits and actions are necessary to improve our world. We believe our learners will influence society at large and have a positive impact on the world.
