    Good Morning Everyone!

Today's selected book is an in-depth history of the civil rights struggle in one state that tells how ordinary people worked, protested, and suffered to change the political system.  It is a sobering message to us all. You can pick up your copy of this book called "Mississippi Challenge" by Mildred Pitts Walter in the Library Media Center.

    Good Morning Everyone!

"On the edge" by Carl Husemoller Nightingale is a glimpse into the history of (specially selected) poor Black children and their American dreams. People have many derogatory phrases for these children but Nightingale attempts to bring their stories and dreams to us in a profound way. These children could be anyone's children and anyone with a heart will be moved by this book. Check it out in the Library Media Center.

Human trafficking is as old as slavery, yet it is still practiced in the modern world. Today's selection is presented to educate, stir the mind, and maybe encourage you to (like Dr. King) fight against the violation of others rights. Check out "Up for sale" by Alison Marie Behnke in the Library Media Center.
