Jackson Elementary Celebrates Perfect Student Awards for March 2025
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Jackson Elementary School proudly celebrated its scholars who achieved perfect attendance during the month of March. The recognition took place during the monthly PTO meeting, where families, staff, and administrators gathered to honor the dedication and commitment of these outstanding students.
We were honored to have Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services, Mr. James Clark, in attendance to celebrate and acknowledge the students’ efforts. His presence underscored the district’s commitment to promoting consistent attendance as a key factor in student success.
A special thank you goes to Ms. Radiah Simmons and Ms. Shakira Hunter, our dedicated attendance aides, for their hard work in organizing this meaningful event. Their efforts ensure that students receive the recognition they deserve for their commitment to coming to school each day, ready to learn and grow.
Perfect attendance plays a crucial role in a scholar’s academic journey. Research shows that consistent school attendance is directly linked to higher academic performance, improved social skills, and long-term success. By attending school every day, scholars develop responsibility, strong work habits, and the resilience needed for future academic and professional achievements.
Jackson Elementary remains committed to fostering a school culture where attendance is valued and celebrated. Congratulations to all of our Perfect Attendance Award recipients for March! We encourage all scholars to continue striving for excellence and making every school day count. -

Message from Acting Superintendent of Schools Susan Johnson
Dear Hempstead School District Families,
We want to take a moment to reassure you that the Hempstead School District remains a safe and welcoming place for all our students and families. We understand that there are concerns circulating in our community regarding the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). During these times, it is important to know that our schools are safe spaces where all children are valued, protected, and supported.
We want to be clear that our priority is the education and well-being of every student. We are committed to maintaining an environment where students feel secure and can focus on learning. No child should feel afraid to come to school. Our doors are open, and we expect all students to be in attendance every day, as education is the key to their future success.
If you or your family have any concerns or need support, we encourage you to reach out to your school’s administration or our district offices. We are here for you.
Thank you for your trust and partnership in ensuring that every child in our community receives the education and opportunities they deserve.
