Hempstead Public Schools Hosts Successful 2nd Annual District STEAM Night

Hempstead Public Schools proudly hosted its 2nd Annual District STEAM Night on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Hempstead High School, welcoming students, families, staff, and community members for an evening dedicated to innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning.

The event highlighted the incredible talents and achievements of Hempstead students through engaging activities and interactive experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Families explored student showcases, live demonstrations, robotics activities, creative arts displays, and collaborative learning stations designed to inspire curiosity and excitement for learning.

Students from across the district had the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking while sharing their work with the Hempstead community. Attendees also enjoyed student performances, special giveaways, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.

In addition, families received support with registering for the PowerSchool Parent Portal and SchoolMessenger platform, helping strengthen communication and engagement between schools and families.
