The energy was electric as the Hempstead community came together on Saturday, November 1, 2025, for an unforgettable Homecoming celebration filled with pride, unity, and tradition! From the moment the parade stepped off, the streets of Hempstead were alive with cheers, music, and the unmistakable spirit of the Hempstead Tigers.

A Parade Full of Spirit

Scholars, staff, alumni, and families lined the streets waving blue and gold as floats, marching bands, cheerleaders, and community organizations showcased their Tiger pride. Each school brought its own creativity and enthusiasm, reminding everyone that Innovation Roars Where Tiger Pride Leads!

Community, Culture, and Celebration

The celebration continued with a lively Homecoming Show that highlighted the incredible talent of Hempstead scholars — from powerful dance routines to musical performances that had the crowd on its feet. The event also honored outstanding alumni and staff members whose dedication continues to uplift the Hempstead Union Free School District community.

Game Day Excitement

The highlight of the day came at the Homecoming Game, where the Hempstead High School Tigers faced off against Oceanside High School in a thrilling matchup. The stands were packed with students, parents, alumni, and community members, all coming together to cheer on their team with unshakable Tiger pride.

Homecoming 2025 was more than just a game—it was a celebration of Hempstead’s rich history, vibrant diversity, and bright future. Superintendent Mr. Raymond Rush, along with district leaders and staff, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make the day a success, from the event organizers and school staff to the families and local partners who came out to show their support.
