On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School proudly celebrated its Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony at Hempstead High School, honoring scholars as they completed middle school and prepared to begin the next chapter of their educational journey in high school.
The ceremony recognized the academic achievements, leadership, and perseverance of the Class of 2026. Surrounded by family, friends, teachers, and staff, students celebrated this important milestone and reflected on the memories and accomplishments they made throughout their middle school years.
The event was held under the leadership of Principal Lisaura Moreno, Assistant Principal Joseph Thornton, and Assistant Principal Damaris Hardial.
