Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Hempstead Public Schools is committed to supporting the well-being of its employees and their families. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, workplace-sponsored service designed to help identify and address personal concerns that may impact an employee’s job performance, attendance, or overall well-being.
What Is EAP?
The Employee Assistance Program provides support and guidance to employees and/or their family members who may be experiencing personal challenges. These concerns may include, but are not limited to:
-
Marital and/or family issues
-
Financial or legal concerns
-
Child or elder care needs
-
Alcohol and/or substance abuse
-
Emotional or mental well-being
-
Health-related concerns
-
Work-related challenges
How EAP Can Help
EAP services focus on early identification and resolution of concerns through assessment, brief-focused consultation, and referrals for appropriate diagnosis, treatment, or additional support. The program also assists employees and their families in connecting with community resources that provide ongoing services, follow-up care, and a wide range of support options.
Confidential Support
All EAP services are confidential. When you contact the EAP, you will speak with an experienced and specially trained counselor who will listen, provide guidance, and help connect you with the appropriate resources.
