The Hempstead Union Free School District announces a Special Election for the Board of Education to fill one (1) Board of Education seat for a three-year term beginning August 17, 2026 and ending June 30, 2029.

Cyclospora (cyclosporiasis)- A stomach Parasite linked to contaminated raw fruit and vegetables. They invade the intestine causing diarrhea, which can be watery, cause abdominal cramps, and may last for several weeks.

As part of a new New York State Education Law (Section 926), the Hempstead Union Free School District is required to share important water safety information with all families at the beginning of each school year. Water safety is an important part of keeping our children safe.
